Castleknock golf course measuring 6,700 sq. yards from the blue tees was designed by the golf course Architect, Jonathan Gaunt, and can be described as modern with large undulating greens. The green complexes allow for numerous and varied pin positions.
Castleknock Golf Club was named as one of the top 100 golf courses in Ireland by Golf Digest Magazine in 2009.
All par 3 holes are guarded or prefaced by lakes increasing the challenge with large bale-out areas for golfers of all handicaps. Lakes come into play on seven holes. These are fully lined lakes with extensive recirculation systems to ensure that the water is always fresh and inviting to the player but hopefully not to the golf ball.
Marshes come into play on a number of holes.
