Castleknock Hotel & Country Club is one of the best golf hotels in Ireland as part of a leisure or corporate outing. Located in an idyllic country setting just 15 minutes from Dublin City and 25 minutes from Dublin Airport, the hotel has everything a golfer could want with modern facilities and stylish decor in a convenient location with stunning views of the local countryside.

 

 

Castleknock Golf Club is an 18 hole parkland golf course located on the site of the hotel. Opened in 2006, the golf course impinges on part of the tree rich demesne in particular Holes No. 1 and No. 2. The pathway from the clubhouse to the 1st Tee is a tree-lined avenue between giant pine trees, which give an atmosphere of calmness and relaxation. Other parts of the course provide panoramic views of the Dublin Mountains. Holes No’s 3, 4, 5 and 6 are set against a backdrop of mature woodland of the Liffey Valley giving the course an added dimension.

 

 

 

Located next to Castleknock Golf Club is the famous Luttrellstown Castle Golf Resort. This 18 hole course was designed by Tom MacKenzie and Donald Steel whose work includes Turnberry, St Andrews and Royal St Georges. Their practice facilities include a driving range, short game area and a three-hole short course designed to sharpen the wedge game.
