Tonic Leisure centre
• Thermal cover to be put on Spa Pool at night
• Underwater Lights only to be turned on from 6.00 a.m. to 8.00 am and 9.00 pm-10.00 pm
• Air Conditioning in the Studio only to be turned on for Fitness Classes and when the studio is busy
Kitchen
• Supplier Engagement: The hotel is collaborating with its suppliers to collect foam packaging and bulky plastics, which is proving to be successful in reducing waste.
• Local Sourcing: The Head Chef has created a document that provides insights into the distance of the hotel’s suppliers from the hotel itself. This document aids in prioritizing suppliers that are local or in close proximity to the hotel. By sourcing ingredients locally, the hotel reduces transportation-related emissions, supports the local economy, and promotes sustainability.
Accommodation
• Chemical Product Efficiency: The hotel sources products from established companies, DYCHEM and MOYNIHAN AND MOYNIHAN, with a focus on creating one product that can replace several. This approach not only saves costs for the customer but also reduces the need for multiple products, which has significant environmental benefits and lowers the risk of cross-contamination.
• Hygiene Product Benefits: All purchased products have notable benefits, including HACCP approval, non-flammability, and the provision of CSDS sheets. These qualities ensure safety, quality, and compliance with hygiene standards.
F&B
• Innovative Dehydrated Fruit Machine: The F&B department has introduced a dehydrated fruit machine, which likely produces snacks and garnishes from dehydrated fruits. This innovative approach reduces food waste by preserving fruits and extending their shelf life, promoting sustainability.
