St. Catherine’s Park is located in counties Fingal, Kildare, and South Dublin. It consists of 200 acres of woodland and grass land, with the river Liffey dividing the southern lands of South Dublin County Council from the remainder of the park.
The Liffey Valley Trails will take you through some of this park also known as Lucan Demesne. Dotted around the park the amenities include a large children’s playground, a picnic area, public toilets, parking and refillable water stations.
From May to October every Sunday from 11am – 5pm an urban market takes place in St. Catherine’s Park. Offering hot food, coffee, ice cream, artisan produce, sweets and treats, crafts and bric a brac there is something for everyone! Located next to the overflow car park, there are public toilets available for use and a water bottle refilling station. There is a large children’s playground also in the area which makes this a great day out for families and couples alike.
